I bought Flitzer plans in 1997, set number 24. I have made fuselage, tail group and lower wings. I also have some suggestions about the "I" struts and seat . Info on www.aeroklub-minima.si.

Group,

Here are two pictures of the Slovenian Z-21 upper wing cut-out laminations and the method of clamping.

The team will be assembling the upper wings soon.

Here are some images of our progress (on the details). CNC cut strut profiles for the undercarriage and FVS logo for the harness. Please bear with us for the time being on the plates. Something went wrong, and we are readjusting the master.

I will send some more images to the group regarding the struts.

Kindest regards,

Saso

Hi group,

No talk...just progess (we at least think so).

Saso & Janez

The second image shows the incorporation of the Force One prop hub/bearing into the engine case. Had a bit of troubles there - mainly due to non-existant technical documentation or custumer support from Great Plains I am sorry to report.

The engine core is more or less ready, except for the fact that we are still looking for the 1.5 l cylinder heads with the bigger valves (serial number of engine is preceed with an H).

Kindest regards

Saso & Janez

Group,

Here's the first picture of the finished fuselage of Janez and Saso's Slovenian Z-21A. This is a really nicely-built aeroplane with a few small differences such as a discreet headrest a little different from the Z-1S style, and Pfalz Dlll or SSW D.lll - style interplane struts. Saso tells me that more pictures will be sent soon of it on its undercarriage with the motor installed.

Thanks Saso.

Here's Janez and Saso's Slovenian Flitzer showing the ply-wrapped elevator LE they've chosen to fabricate. With the discreet headrest, 'Siemens- Schuckert' - type interplane struts and natural plywood fuselage this will be a unique and beautiful aeroplane.
Here's another view of the unique Z-21 being built at Klub Minima, Slovenia. This shows the cheat lines from the cockpit running aft to the tail; viewed from behind the cockpit looking forward over the shallow headrest.
Here's the fine lettering of the weights etc., and the Staaken logo on the Club Minima Z-21.

September 3, 2008 - Slovenian Flitzer Update

Group,

Here's the latest from Club Minima in Slovenia. Beautiful work I'm sure you'll agree.

I can't wait to see how the engine cowling will look on this beautiful Flitzer example.

Here's the third and final (for the moment) picture of the Slovenian Z-21. Note the unique Siemens-Schuckert or Pfalz-style interplane strut. All Flitzers fly beautifully so I hope we'll hear soon what our Slovenian friends, Saso and Janez think about it!

Group,

Here are three new pictures of Saso's and Janez's Z-21A in Slovenia. This is another exceptional piece of work and the varnished fuselage is gorgeous. They are hoping for a roll-out before New Year's day with the ship completed firewall-aft. I look forward to seeing this!

Regards,

Lynn

November 14, 2008 - Slovenian Flitzer

Group,

Here's an update from Slovenia.

Great progress is being made. Note that the earlier Siemens-Schuckert style 'V' struts have been replaced by Flitzer 'I' struts as per the drawings. I understand this was a Slovenian CAA requirement.

This is another lovely Z-21 to add to those emerging from their chrysalises world wide. I am looking forward to viewing the most challenging aspect yet left for fabrication - the 'bullet' engine cowlings!

Great work, Saso and Janez.

Lynn
