I have decided to proceed with a Stormcock, rather than a Z-21. Lynn will be getting me a personalized sketch at some point but you might as well use this sepia-toned image from Lynn's fertile imagination! Power will be provided by a Verner 5Si radial.

Work has been progressing slowly on my tailplane. The basic structure has been epoxied but it remains unsanded.

While making the elevator ribs, I used similar spacing from the spar as I had used on the tailplane diagonals. I forgot to account for the gusset blocks that are present on the elevator. So, I had holes where blocks needed to be glued. After consulting with Lynn, I decided to make plugs on my drill press and epoxy those into the holes. The pictures below tell the story.
